Ancient HistoryENGLISH

The Indian Civilization or Indus Valley Civilization was one of the greatest civilizations to have ever existed in the world. The Civilization has developed in about 3300 BC to 1900 BC, between the natural barriers of Himalaya and Hindu Kush Mountains in the north, and the Sulaiman Mountains in the west.

Like the Mesopotamian Civilization, the Indian Civilization has also developed along the river. Because its centered around the cities of Harappanand Mahenjo-Daro and other villages along the Ravi River a tributary of the bigger Indus River. The Indus River deposits a rich soil over a vast area, which enable inhabitants of the flood plain to plant their crops.

Based on the archeological findings and historians conclusion, it stated that the Harappan cities were the most important centers in which Indian Civilization prospered. The cities were also well planned walled cities where the rulers lived.

Harappan products were discovered in Mesopotamia, which economically showed that, the Harappan cities of India have traded with Mesopotamian cities.
